How to Give
Giving to Mitchell College can be as simple as mailing in a check or as involved as working with our staff and your financial advisor to maximize your tax and income benefits.
Mitchell offers a number of vehicles through which you can make a gift. Pledges, gifts of stock, matching gifts, honorary/memorial gifts, and bequests are popular vehicles for gifts of all sizes.
A Gift of Cash
A gift of cash can be made easily with a credit card through the secure online giving form. It can also be mailed by check directly to:

A pledge may give you the time you want to maximize your ability to give to Mitchell College, or simply make it convenient to pay your commitment in installments.
Pledges to the Mitchell College Annual Fund may be paid at intervals during the course of our fiscal year, which runs from July 1st to June 30th. We typically send pledge reminders 30, 60 and 90 days after an expected pledge payment, and in June before the close of the year. You can pay a pledge balance using any of the vehicles listed on this site for outright gifts, including sending cash or check to the address above or making a credit card payment online.

Gifts of Stock
Marketable securities held in a donor's brokerage or trust account may be transferred to Mitchell College. If you will be transferring stocks to Mitchell College, please instruct your broker, trust officer or financial adviser to electronically deliver the securities by DTC to:

Please notify the Office of Advancement prior to the stock transfer so that we are aware of your transaction. Please indicate the number of shares, name of stock and approximate value of your gift below. You may print and complete the form located here and email, mail or fax it to Donna Lloret, Gift Processing Officer, at Lloret_d@mitchell.edu or fax to 860-701-5018.
Your gift to Mitchell College might be worth more than face value! Taking advantage of company-sponsored matching gift programs can mean that the impact of your gift will be greatly increased, perhaps even doubled. Though matching gift policies vary by company, many employers will match gifts at a 1:1 ratio (up to a specified dollar amount), and may even match gifts made by retired employees.
Does your employer match charitable contributions made to educational institutions? Contact your human resources department to find out, and to obtain a copy of any matching gift policy.

Make an honorary or memorial gift if you want to support the College while honoring or memorializing another individual via your financial support.
Mitchell recognizes that your gift in honor or in memory of someone is a special, personalized way to show your loyalty or love. We will notify the honoree and/or the family when such a gift has been made, if we have their information (including notification information with your donation is always helpful).
Making an honorary or memorial gift is easy and can be done with any gift to the College. Simply include a notation with your gift or fill in the appropriate box on the online giving form.
A bequest is a gift that invests in the future of Mitchell College by deferring the gift until after your death. It can be a smart strategy for decreasing the estate tax penalties for your family.
