Residence Life
Our mission is to develop and operate residential student living environments that responsibly provides an unmatched student experience through superior programs and services.
All full-time students are encouraged to live on campus, unless they are living at home with a parent or guardian and commuting to campus. At Mitchell College we strive to create a home away from home. Each residence hall is overseen by a Resident Hall Director. The RHD is a professional staff member committed to fostering an environment that encourages personal growth and development. The RHD’s provide programs within the residence halls to meet the social, emotional, cultural, educational and recreational needs of the students. In addition to the RHD, each area is staffed with Resident Assistants (RA). The RA is an upper-class student who serves as a mentor to students, providing support and encouragement as needed.
At Mitchell College, the residence hall is a community where students take responsibility for their environment and hold one another accountable for their actions. The residence life program promotes understanding and respect, while fostering a safe and academically conducive living area.
