Registration

Before you begin, answer the following questions:

A. Do you plan to enroll in a degree-seeking program?
B. Have you taken 15 or more credits at Mitchell College as a non-matriculated student?

If your answer to any of the above is Yes, you will need to complete an application for admission.

All others can use our Online Registration, or mail/fax/email/deliver a completed Registration Form to the Registrar.

A note from the Registrar:

The summer terms provide a shortened, thus more intense, academic period with daily classroom time. For many students, this is a wonderful opportunity to get ahead or to catch up in their academic program sequence. The summer courses also can help students who need to complete specific requirements.  There are also some limited internship opportunities for currently enrolled upper-class students who qualify (PRIOR approval within academic department plus approved internship form required).

For members of the local community, summer is a great time to enrich your life with a fun class!   And, for those living locally that are coming “home” from college to the area for the summer, you can take a Mitchell class and transfer it back to your host school!   Check with the Registrar at your college/university about transfer requirements.

Registration is currently underway!   We strongly encourage all current Mitchell students to discuss summer courses with their Academic Advisor prior to registering. You can view or download a course list of the classes offered, the days, times, instructors and costs. There are many different ways to register! You can choose to complete registration online, or fill out a print version and:  fax it in (860-629-6209), scan it in and send it as an email attachment to registrar@mitchell.edu, send it through the regular mail, or stop by in person to the Duques Center (Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm).

Housing and a meal plan are both being offered during this time for resident students. Since a minimum number of students is needed for each course to run, regular updates related to the summer schedule will be kept at the Registrar’s homepage at www.mitchell.edu throughout the next few months.

Students must make payment in full at the time of registration. You can make payment via cash, money order, check or on line (https//:payment.mitchell.edu).  For those paying in full by May 1, there is a special discount (residents save $50, commuters save $25)! If you are interested, we encourage you to register early since some classes are likely to fill quickly. In case of an under-enrolled course, the college may cancel that particular class and will refund your total payment.

If you have a question about the summer terms, please feel free to contact the Academic Affairs Office (ext. 5028), the Academic Advising/Registration Office (ext. 5185) or YOUR Academic Advisor. You can also email registrar@mitchell.edu.
